ReqIF Operations

The ReqIF feature is still under development. Changes may be made without prior notice.

Pre-requisites

  1. R4J version must be 4.12 or above.

  2. Enable ReqIF for your instance. See https://easesolutions.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/REQ4J/pages/2279243793.

  3. In case of restricted access, to use ReqIF export and import in R4J, the user must have “ReqIF Export/Import“ permissions. See https://easesolutions.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/REQ4J/pages/40599564.

Bulk ReqIF Export

  1. Go to Manage apps > ReqIF Operations in the R4J section (or type “.” followed by “ReqIF” on any Jira page)

  2. In the “Bulk ReqIF Export” input, select projects that you want to export.

  3. Click Export.

The projects selected for export will be displayed in a table along with their export status. Once ReqIF file(s) have been generated, the following actions can be done additionally:

  • View Statistics for ReqIF export of the project to see issues that were skipped, error, or successfully exported during the process.

  • Download the ReqIF export file(s) of the project.

  • View All Statistics for ReqIF export of all projects exported to see issues that were skipped, error, or successfully exported during the process.

  • Download (.zip) in a zip file the ReqIF export file(s) of all projects.

  • New Export to generate ReqIF export for other projects.

    • The previous generated ReqIF exports have an expiry of 8 hours. When a new export is executed, these files are automatically deleted.

You can use the downloaded ReqIF export file(s) to import the tree structure from R4J Datacenter to R4J Cloud. Read here.

ReqIF files generated from version 4.10 to 4.11 may run through attachment size issues. Use R4J 4.12 or above as indicated in pre-requisites.
