Configuring Rules for Reuse

Overview

The systematic reuse of requirements acts as a building block to create new systems. R4J provides rules that specify how new requirements are created from existing ones. Reuse rules define which fields are to be copied, whether related items or attachments are included, as well as many other options. See Reuse options for the available options.

You need the "Reuse Configuration" user permission to manage reuse rules. See Managing User Permissions.

Manage Predefined Reuse Rules

Select Requirements > Reuse Configuration from the navigation bar. Existing rules are listed and can be edited or deleted.

To create a new reuse rule, select the Create New Configuration button and choose the options. After saving the new rule, it will appear in the Paste operation in the project tree.
