Risk Boards

Overview

A Risk Board allows users to manage risks of one or multiple projects together in one place. It is ideal for Program Managers, Portfolio Managers, or Enterprise Risk Managers who need to manage risks from projects in one view.

A Risk Board provides a customized Risk Register, Risk Matrix, and Top Risks for the projects included. Risk boards can be created by any user.

To open a Risk Board, under Administration, go to:

  • Data Center Jira navigation > Risks.

  • CLOUD Jira navigation > Apps > easeRisk for Jira.

Then select the board by name. If the board’s name does not appear under Recent Boards, select View All Boards and select the board from that list.

The Risk Board configuration and the actions to manage Risk Boards are explained in the sections below.

Projects

The list of projects whose risks and associated measures are included in the board.

The individual configuration of each project determines which issues count as risks, which issues count as measures and the link types used to associate measures with risks, and thus determines which issues are included in the board. See Understanding Risk Schemes.

Board Sub-query

The JQL query further limits the subset of issues shown in the board’s Risk Register, Risk Matrix (and Comparison), Top Risks, and related Dashboard Gadgets.

If left empty, the issues shown in the board will only be based on the project risk scheme configurations.

ORDER BY clauses are ignored.

Risk Default Columns

The default list of risk fields to be displayed as columns in the board’s Risk Register.

Users are allowed to override the display columns.

Only fields associated to the board projects' issue type view screen will be displayed as options.
