Managing Risk Schemes
Overview
As explained in Understanding Risk Schemes, easeRisk for Jira is configured using Risk Schemes. A Risk Scheme is a collection of Risk Management configuration options that can be applied to several projects. This page explains how to create and manage Risk Schemes.
Add a new Risk Scheme
To add a new Risk Scheme:
Under Administration, go to:
Data Center Jira navigation > Risks > Risk Schemes.
CLOUD Jira navigation > Apps > easeRisk for Jira > Risk Schemes.
Select Add Scheme.
Enter a name for the scheme.
DATA CENTER ONLY Select one or more Risk Formulas to be calculated automatically - see Managing Risk Formulas.
Select which Jira issue types are considered risks.
Select which Jira issue types are considered measures (sometimes also called “countermeasures”) for risks.
Select which Jira link types define the relationship between risks and measures.
Select Add.
Associate a Risk Scheme with a Project
Once you have created a new Risk Scheme, you can associate it with one or more projects so that it takes effect.
Associate or disassociate projects with Risk Schemes from Risk Menu
In easeRisk Datacenter, go to Jira navigation > Risks > Risk Schemes under Administration.
In easeRisk Cloud, go to Jira navigation > Apps > easeRisk for Jira > Risk Schemes under Administration.
In the desired Risk Scheme select Associate. (Note that if the global configuration for Activate Risk Management for All Projects is enabled, the Default Risk Scheme is automatically associated with all projects not associated with another scheme.)
Select the projects you want to add or remove.
Select Associate.
Associate or disassociate projects with Risk Schemes from the Project Settings
To perform this operation, you must have the Project Administrator role of the desired project.
Go to the project you want to associate or disassociate with a Risk Scheme.
Select Project Settings > Risk Scheme Configuration.
Select the desired Risk Scheme.
Select Save.
Edit a Risk Scheme
In easeRisk Datacenter, go to Jira navigation > Risks > Risk Schemes under Administration.
In easeRisk Cloud, go to Jira navigation > Apps > easeRisk for Jira > Risk Schemes under Administration.
In the desired Risk Scheme click on Edit.
Make the desired changes
Click Update
Delete a Risk Scheme
You can only delete a Risk Scheme if it is not associated with any project.
In easeRisk Datacenter, go to Jira navigation > Risks > Risk Schemes under Administration.
In easeRisk Cloud, go to Jira navigation > Apps > easeRisk for Jira > Risk Schemes under Administration.
In the desired Risk Scheme click on Delete.
Confirm the deletion by selecting Delete.
DATA CENTER ONLY Reuse Risk Scheme when creating a new Project
To reduce the effort it takes to associate a newly created project to a risk scheme, create the project with shared configuration in Jira.
Go to Jira navigation > Projects > Create Project.
In the dialog footer, select “Create with shared configuration“.
Select a risk project you want to copy the configuration from, which is included in existing risk scheme.
Create the project.
As a result, the new created project will use same scheme as the existing project.
