Overview

Quick linking allows users to open the “Add Link“ dialog faster by dragging an issue key from the detail, reading, or tabular view to an issue in the tree structure.

User Interface

Quick linking is available for all issue keys in the detail, reading, and tabular view displaying a quick-link icon Quick-link icon on the left side of the issue key text.

Create a link quickly

  • Go to a project tree.

  • Open the detail, reading, or tabular view.

  • Hover on an issue key with a quick-link icon.

  • Drag the issue key to an issue item in the tree structure where a link is desired.

  • Select Add in the add link dialog to proceed with linking.

The “Add Link“ operation is subject to data model rules. If a data model is active for the project, link types and issue types that can be selected may be limited.
