Problem

After updating R4J to the latest version, various errors are displayed and the app is not working as expected.

Solution

Due to the technical differences in Jira 7 and Jira 8, we have decided to publish separate releases for each version.
The Atlassian Marketplace does not check for the compatibility properly and will let you install the wrong version.
To check if you've installed the correct version of R4J for your Jira base system, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Administration | Manage Apps
  2. Select Manage apps in the left navigation bar
  3. Locate R4J - Requirements Management for Jira in the list and expand
  4. Ensure that the suffix of the version matches your Jira version (jira-7 or jira-8)

If the Jira version does not match, you can manually download the latest compatible release for your Jira version here:
https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1213064/r4j-requirements-management-for-jira/version-history

No data will be lost by uninstalling R4J. After the app has been installed again, everything will be as before.
