Overview

As explained in Understanding Risk Schemes, easeRisk for Jira is configured using Risk Schemes. A Risk Scheme is a collection of Risk Management configuration options that can be applied to several projects. This page explains how to create and manage Risk Schemes.

Administration

Add a new Risk Scheme

To add a new Risk Scheme:

Go to Jira Administration > Manage
  • Under Administration, go to:

    • Status
      colourGreen
      titleData Center
      Jira navigation > Risks > Risk Schemes.

    • Status

      titleCLOUD
      Jira navigation > Apps > easeRisk for Jira > Risk Schemes.

  • Select Add Scheme.

  • Enter a name

that defines this scheme

    Select one or more Risk Formulas to be calculated

for issues with projects associated with this scheme
Select the default columns you want to display in the Risk Register for risks

    • Select Add.

    Associate a Risk Scheme with a Project

    Once you have created a new Risk Scheme, you can associate it with one or more projects so that it takes effect.

    Associate or disassociate projects with Risk Schemes from Risk Menu

    • In easeRisk Datacenter, go to Jira navigation > Risks > Risk Schemes under Administration.

    • In easeRisk Cloud, go to Jira navigation > Apps > easeRisk for Jira > Risk Schemes under Administration.

    • In the desired Risk Scheme select Associate. (Note that if the global configuration for Activate Risk Management for All Projects is enabled, the Default Risk Scheme is automatically associated with all projects not associated with another scheme.)

    • Select the projects you want to add or remove.

    • Select Associate.

    Associate or disassociate projects with Risk Schemes from the Project Settings

    To perform this operation, you must have the Project Administrator role of the desired project.

    • Go to the project you want to associate or disassociate with a Risk Scheme.

    • Select Project Settings > Risk Scheme Configuration.

    • Select the desired Risk Scheme.

    • Select Save.

    Copy a Risk Scheme

    • In easeRisk Datacenter, go to Jira navigation > Risks > Risk Schemes under Administration.

    • In easeRisk Cloud, go to Jira navigation > Apps > easeRisk for Jira > Risk Schemes under Administration.

    • In the desired Risk Scheme, click on Copy.

    • Select Copy in the confirmation dialog.

    You will be redirected to the copy’s board configuration page.

    Edit a Risk Scheme

    • In easeRisk Datacenter, go to Jira navigation > Risks > Risk Schemes under Administration.

    • In easeRisk Cloud, go to Jira navigation > Apps > easeRisk for Jira > Risk Schemes under Administration.

    • In the desired Risk Scheme, click on Edit.

    • Make the desired changes.

    • Click Update.

    Delete a Risk Scheme

    You can only delete a Risk Scheme if it is not associated with any project.

    • In easeRisk Datacenter, go to Jira navigation > Risks > Risk Schemes under Administration.

    • In easeRisk Cloud, go to Jira navigation > Apps > easeRisk for Jira > Risk Schemes under Administration.

    • In the desired Risk Scheme, click on Delete.

    • Select Delete in the confirmation dialog.

    Reuse Risk Scheme when creating a new Project

    To reduce the effort it takes to associate a newly created project to a risk scheme, create the project with shared configuration in Jira.

    • Go to Jira navigation > Projects > Create Project.

    • In the dialog footer, select “Create with shared configuration“.

    • Select a risk project you want to copy the configuration from, which is included in existing risk scheme.

    • Create the project.

    As a result, the new created project will use same scheme as the existing project.
