Overview

A data model restricts the types of links and the issue types involved in the links. If a data model is activated for a project, only links sanctioned by the data model can be created in easeRequirements. The Data Model Checker of easeRequirements Ultimate for Jira is provided for the following purposes:

  • A data model may be activated after links already exists. The checker can be used to quickly identify exceptions to the model so that these links can be brought into conformity.

  • While a model is being developed, it can be useful to check for exceptions.

  • The checker allows administrators to add rules to the model directly. For example, if the checker identifies a link that violates a model, a rule can be immediately added to cover that case if desired.

User Interface

The exceptions to the data model are displayed in a table in which each row shows one link, including the link type (designated by its outward description) and the linked issues. Buttons provide actions for each exception.
