easeRequirements August Releases
Aug 13, 2026
easeRequirements Standard must be upgraded to version 5.8 (Atlassian Version 5.0.0) by the Jira system admin to enable the following features.
Improvements
Suspect Links | NEW We’re excited to announce the arrival of Suspect Links in easeRequirements Cloud! This new feature automatically flags linked requirements that may be affected when a related requirement changes, giving teams greater visibility into potential downstream impacts. Users can review the relevant changes, determine whether updates are needed, and clear the suspect flag once the relationship has been validated - strengthening change control, consistency, and traceability throughout the project lifecycle. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYS4mUF34j8 The Suspect Scheme Configuration allows easeRequirements Administrators to create and manage suspect scheme models with configurable suspect conditions. All changes persist and can be reused across multiple projects. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZL5WqdBfo8g Show and Clear Suspect Marks enables users to see when linked issues of requirements have been modified. Suspect marks are displayed in Detail View / Reading View / Coverage View and Traceability View. Users can clear suspect marks directly from the Linked Issues table when no action is required. Suspect Report provides a dedicated report for monitoring suspect results. Users can filter by project / link types / date range and user. The report displays the changed issue / link type / linked issue / user and suspect timestamp. Users can review changes compare current revisions of both issues and clear suspects individually or in bulk. Suspect Notifications sends email alerts to configurable recipients when a suspect is triggered. Notification recipients are defined within the suspect scheme configuration dialog using the same options as Data Center. A Notification column is displayed in the suspect schemes list to indicate configuration status. Suspect Notifications will require the “Read Email Address” permission, allowing the app to view configured users’ email addresses regardless of their profile visibility settings. Once an admin approves the permission, it will take effect when the app is updated to the latest version. Asset Field Support | NEW Asset object fields from Jira Service Management are now rendered as readable, clickable links across all easeRequirements views — including Tree, Detail, Reading, Tabular, Coverage, Trace Matrix, Revision Comparison, and Baseline views. Previously, asset field values were displayed as raw JSON. Multi-value asset fields are clearly indicated, and clicking an asset opens its object view directly in Jira Service Management. Users can select asset fields via the Display Fields selector in each supported view. Clicking an asset opens the asset object view in Jira Service Management. Detail View | NEW BETA RTL-writing (Right-to-Left) support is now available as a beta feature controlled via Forge feature flags. This allows the feature to be selectively enabled and managed without a full release cycle. Request access via our support desk, we would love to hear your feedback. Details can be found on https://youtu.be/Q2XUs2KRcpA . R4JC-20394 |

Migration (DC to Cloud) | NEW Enhanced the app data migration process for large Jira Cloud migrations. The system now sends real-time heartbeat progress updates during the metadata upload phase, preventing unexpected migration timeouts during full-instance transfers. EASE-22974 R4JC-17569 |
Bugfixes
Tree View | FIX Some users saw folder descriptions instead of folder names (summaries) in Tree View because Description was pre-selected as the default display field instead of Summary for newly activated projects. Folder Summary is now displayed by default when users access Tree Views. EASE-22700, EASE-22805 R4JC-15343 |
|---|---|
Detail View | FIX Images uploaded via inline edit in Detail View were displayed at an inconsistent size compared to the exported file. Exported image sizes now match the size displayed in the Detail View. EASE-22454, EASE-22628, EASE-22837 R4JC-15884 |
Tabular View | FIX Fixed issue causing a 403 message when users access the context menu. EASE-22041 R4JC-11053 |
Revision Compare | FIX Fixed an issue in revision compare where changes in large descriptions with more than 2000 characters were not highlighted. EASE-21986, EASE-18741, EASE-19143, EASE-21088, EASE-20393, EASE-22732 R4JC-6782 |
Coverage View | FIX Display Fields in Coverage View sometimes showed fields from the default screen scheme instead of the correct scheme for projects with more than 50 issue types. Pagination is now implemented when retrieving issue type screen scheme mappings ensuring all mappings are correctly resolved regardless of the number of issue types. EASE-22591 R4JC-17270 |
Baseline Signature | FIX Baseline signature status was incorrectly shown as Failed in the Tree View issue revision history despite successful addition. Signature status now displays correctly in Tree View Baseline Details. Additionally clicking a baseline name from another project in the baseline details dialog no longer opens a 404 page. EASE-23184 R4JC-18626 |
Baseline Compare | FIX Quick filter options Only on Left and Only on Right in Baseline Tree Compare were not working properly and displayed incorrect data. All quick filter options (Only Changes / Only on Left / Only on Right) now correctly filter issues in both Detail and Tree compare baseline views. EASE-22435, EASE-23081 R4JC-10910 |
Advanced search Integration | FIX Tree items could end up with r4jPath property set to EMPTY when a parent issue was not yet indexed by Jira at the time of path calculation causing those issues to be excluded from r4jPath-based filters. Path recalculation now handles unindexed parents correctly preventing permanently broken paths. EASE-22831, EASE-22853 R4JC-17110 |
Tree Export | FIX Recurse statements without a folder name attribute did not export all issues in Cloud tree Word export while the same templates worked correctly in Data Center. Tree Word export now outputs all applicable issues regardless of whether a folder name attribute is specified in the recurse statement. EASE-22954 R4JC-16842 |
Tree Export | FIX Fixed a bug where exporting a filtered tree structure excluded parent nodes and recursive child items (not part of the filter), triggering a template warning. All filtered issues including their parent items are now correctly exported to Excel. EASE-23009, EASE-23323 R4JC-17511 |
Tree Export | FIX Fixed a bug where exporting a filtered tree structure excluded parent nodes and recursive child items. EASE-23009, EASE-23323 |
Coverage Export | FIX Fixed a bug where hyperlinks for issue keys in exported coverage view reports pointed to api.atlassian.com instead of the customer's Jira Cloud instance domain. Coverage View export hyperlinks now correctly use the customer's own Jira Cloud instance URL. EASE-23504, EASE-23580 R4JC-19007, R4JC-20654 |
Traceability Export | FIX Fixed export issue causing hang when exporting over 100 rows or columns. Export performance for large traceability matrices has been significantly improved. EASE-22193 R4JC-11604, R4JC-20339 |
Baseline Export | FIX Baseline Comparison Word export got stuck near 100% when multiple users ran concurrent exports. Concurrent Baseline Word exports now complete successfully for all users; progress reaches 100% and the download works without tasks remaining in EXCEEDED state. EASE-23495 R4JC-21037 |
Baseline Export | FIX The [[$.displayFieldsValue2]] property in Baseline Compare Word Export templates was not rendered correctly outside of table cells. The property now works correctly in regular text, IF statements, and table cells” in exports. EASE-22122 R4JC-13787 |
Baseline Export | FIX If the reporter field of an issue was null the Baseline Word export displayed the details of the previous issue instead. Null reporter fields are now handled correctly and the correct issue details are always displayed in the export. EASE-22240 R4JC-13433 |
Baseline Export | FIX Baseline Compare Word export did not respect the active quick filter and always exported all issues. The export now only includes issues visible after the quick filter is applied consistent with Data Center behavior. EASE-22132, EASE-23326 R4JC-11236 |
Export Template Administration | FIX Updating or uploading export templates in the Template Administration no longer crashes the page when the browser locale is set to a non-English language (e.g., German). Export templates can now be saved successfully regardless of the browser locale setting. EASE-21971, EASE-22723, EASE-22742 R4JC-13080 |
Migration (DC to Cloud) | FIX Migrating issues from Data Center to Cloud threw an error when an issue summary contained newline characters causing those issues to be skipped. Newline characters in issue summaries are now handled gracefully without errors during migration. EASE-22724, EASE-23424 R4JC-16253 |
Migration (DC to Cloud) | FIX Migration from Jira DC to Cloud hung at 0% for hours when migrating large numbers of projects. A retry mechanism with progressive batch size reduction and delay has been added for bulk issue creation preventing connection reset errors during migration. EASE-22724 R4JC-15937 |
Backup Storage | FIX Fixed issue where non-admin users get an error accessing the backup storage page. Users with the easeRequirements Admin marketplace permission can now access Backup Storage without requiring system admin rights. EASE-22682 R4JC-15093 |
