Overview

The reading view displays the folders and items in a folder tree in a layout that is convenient for reading, using the same hierarchical structure as the tree. To access the view, select a folder or work item in the tree and then select the Reading view icon.

In the reading view, the work items and folders are shown with their title and description and can be edited in place.

You can export all the items displayed in the reading view to an MS Word Document.

Operations

Purpose

Action

Open work item

Select Click on the ID of a work item to open it in the Azure DevOps work item edit view.

Inline editing

Select Click on a work item’s title or description to enable edit mode. Clicking outside the input field automatically saves any modified content unless changes are discarded with the Cancel button.

Download Word Document

Select the button Download docx to download all displayed work items in a structured MS Word document. To cancel a change press the Esc in your keyboard.

Context menu
