Enable/Disable Export Template

We have enabled you to export requirements via our Word Export. This is the same feature with our Datacenter/Server application. With that information, you can reuse the templates you have uploaded on your datacenter/server system.

To access this feature, go to Manage apps > Export Templates in the R4J section.

Add Export Template

Upload a word export template. Templates added here can be selected when performing export in the Tree.

We have added the option to limit the template options the user can select in a Project Tree, to do this, set the “Project“ field to specific projects.

The supported extensions are the following:

  • Word: .docx

Hard limit configured are the following:

  • Subscribed users: 30 MB

  • Evaluation users: 3 MB

Edit Export Template

Click on the pencil icon to edit the details of the template.

Delete Export Template

Click on the trash icon to remove the template.

Users can export requirements using the easeRequirements Template Export. When initiating an export, the user selects a template from a list of templates administered by a Jira administrator. For templates, language and usage see Usage of Word Templates and Excel Templates pages.

To administer templates as a Jira administrator, do either of the following:

  1. Go to the manage apps section at Apps > Manage your apps > Export Templates.

  2. As an app administrator click the hamburger menu > Export Templates.

The template storage space is limited to 3 MB for evaluation cloud instances. With a licensed subscription the storage space is increased to 30 MB.

Add new export template

  • Select Add Export Template.

  • Provide the following details in the dialog:

    • the name of the template (required)

    • an optional description

    • the projects that are allowed to use the template (all projects by default)

    • the views from which the template is available (currently only the tree view)

    • The template file with the extension “.docx, .docm, .xlsx and .xlsm”.

Edit export template

  • Select the pencil icon.

  • Edit the details of the template in the dialog.

Delete export template

  • Select the trash icon.

  • Use the toggle button on the left side of the table
