Overview

We have enabled you to import existing Existing project tree structures can be migrated from your a R4J Server/Data Center instance to your a Jira Cloud instance . We leveraged on existing ReqIF standard to migrate the tree structure to the cloudusing the ReqIF Standard.

To access this feature, go to Manage apps > ReqIF Import in the R4J section.

Import Process

Upload ReqIF

Upload one or more files.

Info

XML file must be compliant to the ReqIF standard.

Validate ReqIF File

Click on the Validate button. After validation, a status table will be displayed on how many issue will be created, moved and/or any errors that are encountered during the operation. Validation will help identify possible issues and let the administrators resolve them before the actual import of data.

The validation will run in the background, refreshing the page will still show the status of the operation.

Import ReqIF

Click on the Start new import button.

Limitations

If a folder was created via the reuse functionality of R4J DC:

  • In versions below 4.11, its attachments will not be migrated.

  • In versions 4.11 and above, its attachments will be migrated IF it was reused with copied attachments
